View Full Version : Would like test ride in big tiller....
I am interested in taking a test ride in a big tiller, preferrably a new Ranger 620T or a Lund 2025. But I am not totally closed minded to just those two. Also in a 1800 as a possibility. I am looking to see how they perform and if I would be happy with the performance or not. Had tillers all my life and switched to console a couple of years ago and I am not happy with the fishability. I live in the LaCrosse, WI area...
Thanks for any replies..

I have a 620T with a 115. A friend of mine who has driven and fished out of the boat lives in La Crosse. Based on some schedule, I would be willing to accomodate your request. Email me for his name and more details and we'll see what is feasible.

LAST EDITED ON Jul-18-01 AT 06:15PM (CST)[p]Spent last weekend fishing out of a Yar-Craft Storm 1895BT on Lake of the Woods. I don't know if you have a Yar dealer nearby, but you owe it to yourself to ride in one before you make up your mind. Smooth, dry ride and the layout and storage is superb. JS
I don't know if you have ruled out Warrior or not.
There are several 20 foot Warrior tillers that are used by guides on Leech and on Winni. I have had the pleasure of riding on one of them, and they were wonderful fishing machines and able to take anything that the lake was able to dish out as far as weather and waves were concerned.
Take care

Bear,
I have a Warrior 1890XST with a 125hp Mercury. I would be willing to meet you in the Red Wing or Lake City area for a test ride. This boat handles rough water, trolls great, and is easily trailered. E-mail me at glenn.rengo@thermoramsey.com for a test drive / ride.

My brother and I own two tiller Crestliner boats. Mine is a 17'2 Crestliner with a 150 and my brother has a Crestliner 202 with a 225. We won't be near to you this year, but I have a couple of people in Wisconsin who have seen and ridden in the boats. You may want to ask them what they thought of them. Email back if your interested in the phone numbers.(Green Bay and Kaukauna)
