I am thinking about buying boards - I am not familiar with them. Does anyone have any feedback on what is best. I am leaning toward the Yellow Birds just because they are small.

Thanks

I use the off-shore boards and find they work well. Have used yellow birds and found that they don't handle heavier snap weights real well. Maybe I was doing something wrong, but I didn't have much luck with them. Know a guy that uses the Mr. Walleye boards and likes them. I prefer the off-shores. Good Luck.

Get the Off Shore or Gary Roach if you are looking for inlines (roughly same size as the yellow birds). Have seen others have luck w/ yellow birds but for me they have been diving planers meaning they dive under and snag on the bottom vs. pulling the line to the side.

In many posts on this board regarding planer boards, Off Shore always comes out on top as everybody's favorite. Go to their Web site, http://www.offshoretackle.com and order their free newsletter. It's full of great info and will teach you many ways to use your boards.
