I have heard problems concerning Lund IPS hulls centering on a Shoreland'r. Is this true? Does anyone have any info on this?
Most people enjoy Shoreland'rs since they ride so low. Are there any fixes?

I think there is a thread in the archives that addressed centering IPS hulls. It may be a place to start.

I have a 1700 Fisherman with the IPS hull and use a Shoreland'r trailer. I have had no trouble loading my boat on both improved launches and some very primitive ones.
I use the winch to pull the boat on and it works perfect every time.

I have spent the entire summer trying to adjust the trailer to the optimum position. I have the IPS hull and Shoreland'r.
My dealer didn't have the slightest clue how to set these up which concerns me since they sell Lund's and Shorelandr's all the time. For that reason I have been adjusting it myself.
Not only does the boat not center properly, but I have noticed that my roller brackets are sliding around all the time. No matter how tight that I get them, they tend to loosen up and slide in towards the center. Since, I dropped the roller bracket right down to the cross frame of the trailer and removed the bottom bracket and so far it has been much better. Now I have only one bolt holding the bracket rather than two but it seems to be evem more secure than before.
I am very disappointed in the quality of the workmanship of the trailer. The paint is poor quality and the mounting means are terrible. I initially thought that everyone was whining about the loading problems but I do agree that the trailer does not do a great job of loading. I have learned how to handle loading the boat because I can just boost the boat over by hand after I load it.
I contacted Shorelandr' and all they have ever done is revert me back to my dealer who is basically incompetant. That being said, I will NOT have a Shorelandr' under my next new boat.

I forgot to mention...I was told the tandem axle Shoreland'r loaded fine, the only problem was with the single axles.
Is there any truth to this? Does anyone have a tandem Shoreland'r under an IPS Lund?
Thanks in advance!

Do you currently have the boat trailer combo, or are you shopping? If you haven't bought the package yet, I would opt for an Eagle bunk trailer - awesome trailer. Sure, it will cost you a little more at the get-go, but it's worth the cost of the avoided headaches down the road. I've owned Shoreland'r in the past and now that I have an Eagle I see no reason to change. I have a Lund 1800 Pro V SE (ips hull). Just my opinion.

I have 2146 Shorelander tandem trailer under a 2025 Lund with the IPS hull and it loads just fine. I have owne Shorelanders for years and have never had any problems with the trailers. The big thing with these trailers and any trailer is when you back it in the water that the trailer is level. If the trailer is not level you will hae trouble getting it on straight especially and Pro V with no ribs on the bottem of the boat. Eagle trailers load great but when was coming home from fishing yesterday I saw one under a lund 1900 and where the load guides are the paint was rubbing off from being to tight or the boat rubbing going down the road. Now that could be a problem...........

Mines a single and still loads fine.

I have the tandem trailer and an IPS Hull (Baron), loads fine powering on. I do not use the winch until I have powered on completely.

I have a shorelander trailer and the guide posts kept moving towards the center for me also. I cured this movment by
putting a thin layer of silicone caulk between the post
retainer and the trailer then tighten down the bolts.
My posts never moved after this.

If the trailer is set up correctly, they load fine....unless you back too far in when trying to load.
I must mention, I push the bunk trailers...they load better in a "power it on" situation. (larger boats)

I have a Shorelander bunk trailer under a Prov-V 1800 and it loads perfectly everytime. I power on and the keys are having side guides, making sure the trailer is level on the ramp to start with and, as T-Mac said, not backing in too far. Intuitively you would think that backing in further would help, but it is just the opposite.
Hi...
I have had a Lund Fisherman with the IPS hull and now a Lund Pro V with the IPS hull. Both were on Shoreland'r Trailers....I power on except when not allowed to in MI and never had any problems. It runs fine on the road, and centers easily when powering on. Never had any trouble with the trailer. It is a single axle trailer, and will go with the same type trailer with next year's new pro v.

Ditto to all posts that say they have no problems. There are 3 key points (as everyone already indicated):
1) Make sure trailer is level.
2) Do not back trailer too far (I always back just so the rearmost rollers are above the water).
3) Rear load guides help with wind and current.
I own a single axle ShoreLand'r with a 2000 Mr. Pike 17. I have a riser kit from ShoreLand'r installed so that the boat splash rails sit a little higher than the trailer fenders.
I am on my second Mr. Pike 17 with a single axle Shoreland'r trailer. I have not had any loading problem. The most important factor is to make sure the trailer is not too far into the water.

I did want to add one thing. The trailer does unload and load extremely easy. I have no trouble power loading and it is a breeze to unload. When I say it does not center well it may be a little misleading. I am a perfectionist and find that 1" - 2" off is not centered. Others may not feel this is an issue and maybe I shouldnt either. Since I have a single console, the weight load also may contribute to why it is difficult to load on dead center.
After cooling off a little about my last problem with the trailer, I may reconsider if my last adjustment is the final solution. So far after loading it twice since my last adjustment, it has been real good. I am keeping my fingers crossed. It may sound insignificant but in the past my EZ Loader on my old Pro-v Loaded dead center every time.
That paint quality issue is a whole other story...next time I will have it painted with the Rhino liner or something similiar...
I had trouble with my shorelander trailer and my 18 sp crestliner. What cured my trouble was balance the load in the boat and make sure you back the trailer in so the first set of rolers is under water. It now loads fine.

I have a 2000 1800 Pro V with IPS and a Shorelander single axle
trailer. When I bought it last year it had the regular roller set up at the back of the trailer and bunk type guides in front.
It loaded terrible, in all conditons, never would go on straight.
Over the winter I took it back to my dealer and told them about my problem. They contacted Shorelander. Reset the rear rollers, removed the front bunk guides and replaced them with rollers. It loads absolutely beautifully this year! No complaints.
Paint-Unless you stay on pavement all the time it can't help but be a problem. I have had one galvenized Shorelander trailer and I kick myself for not buying one this last time. The won't win any beauty contests, but the day you take it home is as ugly as it ever gets. I hate rock chips.

I am confused... I want to order the fron roller arm for my shorelander and remove the front bunks. But, when I went to my dealer he told me that it was not made for my trailer??? I have a 1900ProV on a 32 or 3300# Shorelander (2001 year)
When I look at the Shorelander site, it seems to show the rollers but it doesn't tell you the model they are made for?
