Just picked up the latest 2002 catalogue and as usual they had some discrepencies, but also had a few questions:

1 - Why is the 1775 aft livewell so small compared to the 1800 when they have the same beam width ("92)? It is only 13 gallons versus 28 gallons - less than half. The bow livewell is 12 gal.

2 - They list that all Pro-v's have two 1000 gph bilge pumps (one auto) except if you look in the very rear of the catalogue. The 1775 only shows a single check mark. Does it come with two or not?

3 - Why is the 1775 the only Pro-v without fresh water pickup? Don't really care for it just curious.

4 - They show a hatch at the center rear aft of the boat on the floor. Is this hatch the bilge access panel?

5 - Finally, what is the overall length of rod can you put in the center rod locker?

Thanks for everybody's response.

I cannot answer all of your questions on the 1775, but I can answer a couple of them. I justed picked up my 2002 1800, rod storage space seems to be just over 7'. The hatch on the floor at the rear of the boat is access to a battery compartment, you can access the livewell and bilge pumps here but better access is through a port in the splashwell, where you also have access to your transom plug. Not sure on the two bilge pumps and livewell size. One word of caution in regards to the new in floor rod storage, not all rods fit into the compartment that are less than 7'. Example, G-Loomis, walley series, 6'3" rods will not fit, from the butt of the rod to the first eye guide up is to long. The first guide is too large for the rod tube and the length to the butt of the rod is to long to fit in the compartment and still close the lid. I was a little pissed off at this, but there is enough room in the port side storage to fit 6'4" rods. Other than this I just love the boat.

Thanks Landon 1,

It appears that they are trying to center as much weight as possible by positioning the cranking battery in the center rear of boat.

Also, thanks for info on the center rod locker, I am sure on the 1775 there is probably less distance from the rod tube to rod butt section support. Looks like I will be using probably again a shorter side port side storage.

I plan on picking up this rig before next season.
