please fill us new fisherman in. i went to local scheels and my jaw dropped at all of the lures available. I've done a little fishing in the past and have come to believe that if you get a worm or crawler in front of a fish they will probably take it. case closed. is this just a money making gimmick of the lure companies to have that many different shades, shapes, paint jobs, etc.? there were literally thousands!!! I'm confused. What ever happened to a good ol spinner or daredevil? i know theres a lot of money to be made but lets get real. thanks in advance for any input.good luck to all in the mn opener this weekend.

If you know enough about and have knowledge of the mn opener this weekend, you got to be fishing for what type of lures other people are using to catch fish with. I will give you two brand name of lures for Walleye. Reef runners and Rapala. Color. Some days it doesn't matter and most days, it definitely helps. Personal preference is dark colors and clown combinations. Probably what has been out fisning lures on Lake Erie is worm harnesses. Have fun. Fishing is like playing Golf. When you finally think you have it figured out...
