now that the spring rains are coming down, so are the Night Crawlers, want to see if there is a better way to keep worms in a refridge, useing , soil and some grass clipings ,little water, would worm beding kits, and bait canteen work?, Eye use the second refridge down in the basement for this, can be harmful if the boss would find out, ouch ! Fish on !!!!
I use Fat and Sassy worm bedding.
It works excellent.

I simply use chopped up leaves from last falls compost pile. Will keep almost all summer(if not used up by then) I also keep in the fridge in the garage along with my favorite beverages. I have 2 styrofom ice chests full of them.
Put crawlers in a clean styrofoam cooler and cover them with chunks of healty green moss. The crawlers will stay big, fat and very healthy. Keep them cool. If you were a crawler, would you prefer a natural bedding or one that was last month's newspaper?

Hi;
I bought a old refrigerator and put it in the basement and had about 2000 crawlers in it in BUSS BASS BEDDING and it worked fine for a moneh until my kid pulled the plug. I went to get my weekend bait a week later and oh my God. Worm juice, Dog House and I still hear about it and that was 30 years ago.
