My brother just purchased a 1950 (I think) with a 200hp. I'm a tiller guy, but anyhow he's looking to purchase a bown mount probably MinKota. Suggestions, I am sure he doesn't ahve the cash for a Genisis. Will a 60" shaft be adequate, will 74 LBS thrust be adequate, does he need a gator mount? What model can you reccomend?

I just looked at my Cabelas catalogue. Does Min Kot make a 74LB thrust bowmount that is not the Genisis? He may consider a Motor Guide, but 1st choice is Min Kota.

Minn Kota offers a Maxxum bow mount in a 74# with a 62" shaft foot control and a 52" shaft hand control. I have only seen the Powerdrive and Auto Pilot models available up to 65#.
