Being able to download all the roads and their names into my GPS units is great, but my boat is on the water, not the road. Why doesn't Lowrance include lake topographic data with the IMS Map CD? It would certainly be more useful to fisherman than road info.

Does anyone know where (or if) one can get lake topographic maps on CD for downloading into a Lowrance GlobalMap 100 or 1600? I'm looking for electronic depth charts for Wisconsin inland lakes, Lake Michigan and Lake Superior. Thanks.

Check out the fishing hot spots map - CD.
They don't have download capability yet, but I am going to see if I can blend the fishing hot spots maps and the IMS maps.

If nothing less, I think that we should be able to scan them in -- using the delorain software.

It will be worth a try.

Take care

You can download Navionics charts with underwater detail into your Lowrance unit. If you want to see what's available for your area, go to http://www.navionics.com. To find out how to download them into your Lowrance, go to Lowrances web site at: http://www.lowrance.com. On the first screen that comes up, click on Using Navionics Charts. They'll explain how to do it.
