I saw a number of posts in regards to the Lowrance x-15 and the Navionics Hot Spots maps. The last that I recall was that the resolution wasn't what it should have been (< 1/2 mile). Does anyone have any updates regarding this. What can you expect from this unit and the performance with this feature?

Navionics made the maps to only zoom so far .5 or 1 mile depending on the amount of detail. They figure that most people would not need to zoom in to .1 mile but I think they should let us determine that. If I mark a few fishing spots with icons around a point, at 1 mile zoom those icons will be a overlaping blob.

it's not navionics that dictates the zoom-ability of the map. they only duplicate what fishing hot spots has available. all the mn maps i got go down to at least .53 which is quite good for the lakemaps i have. i was initially concerned about this problem, but not any more. what we need to do now is lobby navionics for more maps to choose from. in mn they only have like ten available. everyone needs to go to the fishinghotspots.com and find the lakes available and email their popular choices to LMACINNIS@NAVIONCS.COM that way they can get a grip on which lakes would sell good! come on everybody this is new technology we need to pull together and help things along where we can to make it better for everyone!

do you have your individual navionics map turned on? go the the menu and click on map data,or map data drawn and go down to where it says navionics and open that window and highlight the lake map of choice. then go back to the big map and find the lake and move the cursor to that lake and start zooooomin!

well, there is where you hit the enter key because what it is tellin you is that you havent got any lake maps selected. when you hit the enter key a window will drop down, then move the cursor down to the lake you want and hit enter and then exit exit exit and you should be back at the main screen!!
