I changed the lower unit lube this weekend and when refilling it I had some of the oil come out the water intake fins?? I have never seen this before?? Any help? Yamaha Pro 60. Do they have some sort of over flow??

There is on overflow on that motor. If oil is comming out you have either a drive shaft or shift shaft seal leak. Did you have water in the lower unit when you drained it out or did you spill alot of lower unit lube when you filled it. If there is a leak take off the lower unit and bring it in to a Yamaha shop and have it presssure tested. To take it off take the trim tab off and there should be a bolt under it. Then take that on off then the four other bolts then the lower unit will slide down. You will also have to disconnect the speedometer tube wich is where the lower splits on the side near the back of the boat.
