I have two part tanks of boat gas from last summer and I may have not put oil in one because I thought the main tank on my 4 cycle engine might go dry. (I was trying to get it down for the winter)
How do I test to see if they have oil in them?

Be safe, pour them both in your pickup and start over. If there is oil in it, it will give the pickup a top-end lube, and if there isn't then no problem.

You can look at it tell if there is oil in it but you won't know how much. So the safest way is like what was posted already. Run it in something else and start over. Run it in your lawn mower and fog for Skeeters at the same time...:)

I would have a hard time using old gas in any motor I owned because it breaks down eventually even with a stabilizer added.
If you take it to a service station they will take it off you hands into a recycle program but if you insist on using it check the color most 2 cycle oil is colored for that very reason.
You pickup will only like it if it is an old one that does not use an oxygen sensor and a computer to operate and if it has broken down it will plug your fuel filters anyway. Those are my reasons.

Hope this helps

Do NOT put mixed gas into a vehicle that is equipped with a catalytic convertor, even small amounts !!! That oil can coat the cat & oxygen sensor & cause a major repair. Find another use like the mower or older vehicle without the newer emission control devices. My 1984 Chevy motorhome just loves the stuff !!
