There is a State Owned Camp grounds on the south west side of the Island. They have a boat ramp. Very Nice area, but not sure if you can beach a boat there. I've never seen it done.

Not positive the numbers are current...
S. Bass State Park campground 419-797-4530
Kelly's " " " 419-797-4530 & yes they are the same #. Kelleys Is Chamber of Commerce 419-746-2360
Miller Ferry (S. Bass) 1-800-500-2421 419-285-2421
Neuman Ferry (Kelly's) 1-800-876-1907 419-746-2595

Both State campgrounds have boat beaching potential, but like the first poster, I can't remember seeing it done. I wouldn't be shy about pulling it too far up the bank, conditions can change...a lot. No insult intended, just to be sure ...it would not be advisable to leave any portion of the boat even near the waters edge.

S. Bass campground fills before Kellys.

Have a great trip.

Inside Put in Bay,, people tie small boats to the shore line and steady stern with ancors,, Don't believe ther is a charge,, That is the only place to beach a boat over nite,, Never trust the weather for beaching anywhere else,, Pull it out for shure

You can beach your boat and camp if you like roughing it at Baypoint. It's right across from Cedar Point amusement park. On one side of the point is lake Erie and on the other is Sandusky Bay.Launch out of Dempseys access.Another good place that lets tenters camp is right across from mazuriks launch called Runinmuck they have a bar right in camp so you dont have to drive anywhere and the launch is practically across the street and free. Just be careful if you camp at Baypoint it's a giant sandbar and you have to swing way wide to get to the lake.
