captains license.

I aquired much coxswain experience while in the US marines. It has been over three years and I need to start over. I would appreciate any information or advice as the best and most efecient way to go about obtaining my license. It is very important to me. It's in my blood. My grandfather was even a fleet captain on freighters on the Great Lakes. If any of you captains could e-mail me any advice I'd appreciate it.
