I just purchased a pair of regular size(40")Wave Tamer bags. What size do you guys typicaly run on a 17-18 glass walleye rig. These things work almost to good,I tryed to backtroll one with an 80 hp and had to run the motor at 1600 rpm to achieve 1.3 mph.I have'nt tryed drifting with either one or two of these but I'm thinking there to big and I should swap them for 30" smalls. What do you think?

I run the 30" with my 16 foot aluminum. I very rarely run both, but when I need to keep the boat parallel to the waves, I will run one off the bow and one of the stern. I can get away with one in the middle if the wind is mild, however.

If the drag was too much that you hade to run up to 1600RPM, what happened when you were without the bag at idle? You can also draw the bag in closer to the boat to help reduce the drag.

You will like the 40" to keep the bow into the wind on those real rowdy days.
