I'm considering adding a sonar unit to my bow with the transducer mounted on the electric troller motor. Here's the question. When I'm not fishing in the bow, can I move the sonar unit to the console and use the existing transducer for the already present console unit (LMS 160)? Is there a "splitter" transducer cable? Or would it be as simple as disconnecting the transducer cable from the 160, thus using it as GPS only, and connecting to the new unit? God I hope this makes sense......

OK, if I have this straight, (1)no you cannot operate both sonars off of 1 transducer (2) yes you can use your 160 full screen for GPS and hook the other Graph (it has to be the same manufacture, lowrance/eagle, operating with the same khz, to match your existing transon transducer, some are 192khz some are 200khz and connectors, some connectors are large gray others are smaller) to your transom transducer. This will allow full screen for GPS and locater. You'll have to disconnect the transducer from the back of the 160 and hook it to the new locator, plus a power connection for the new locator and mounting hardware. Ram mounts make a dual mount stand for this type of application. Hope this helps.....
