I have a Pinpoint network, 3700 motor, 7500, 7520. My problem is the unit I have at the wheel has all the sudden started losing bottom when moving (anything above plane). I didn't have this problem last year. I've already checked the adjustment of the transducer on the transom. I used to be able to read bottom when moving 35-40 mph, now I only get it when stopped. Not sure what to do. Any help is greatly appreciated.
I suspect that you have a transducer problem.
If you stored your boat over the winter, and if the transducer was on the boat - I assume that it was, you might have had a hair line crack in the transducer, which trapped moisture and cracked the transducer. This has happened to a few different folks over the years.
If this isn't the case, you might simply have a dirty transducer. Take an SOS pad and scrub it lightly on the bottom to insure that you have no "crud" on the transducer.
If these actions don't solve your problem, call pinpoint and have them send you out a new transducer. It is likely that it has gotten "weak" - this also happens to different brands from time to time. Not frequently, but it does happen.
Take care

When you get on plane do you show about 2.4 feet, lose surface clutter, and have a fairly wide black band across the screen at about 5 feet? If so, your 7520 probably has a bad capacitor on the mother board.
