To make this short,I'm downsizing boats. Will I be happy with a 1650 Rebel? Is this boat easy to unload/load by myself?(this is one reason I would like to downsize)Is this a really solid boat? What can I expect to pay with a 40 or 50hp on this boat?

I bought the 1650 Rebel SS because I usually fish by myself. It is a great boat, the key is to get a good trailer. I have a 4 bunk Trailmaster trailer , it is great!!! Soooo easy to load and unload by yourself!! I had a 14' Rebel , with a Shorelander roller with 2 bunks, NIGHTMARE!! If you are going to fish by yourself, get a Trailmaster or Eagle 4 Bunk drive on ! PERIOD!!!

Hi Joe, I work for Crystal-Pierz Marine of Shakopee,Luredaddy was right-Trail Master or Eagle are some of the best trailers that you can buy, however they are more spendy but worth head ache now in stead of on the lake with a crooked boat on the trailer, if you are interested in a price just email me at nateatpierz@yahoo.com and I would be happy to answer any questoins.

I have the 1650v Tiller and a shorelandr roller trailer. first boat ever and the trailer couldn't be any easier. A boat this small and can be "pulled" on the trailer very easily if needed. My dad has the same boat but his roller trailer is "undersized" and doesn't work well. His is a 1200lb trailer and mine is the 1500lb. both are shorelandr's. I wouldn't spend the extra money since I think this set-up is flawless on mine. Spend the money and get a 1500lb shorelandr and you won't regret it.
Good luck.

She's a great boat. I have had her on Lake Erie in over 6 ft swells. (by accident of course) I don't recamend that but she is for sure a strong boat. She's a breez to load yourself. I go abou 32 mph with my Mercury 50 4 stroke. 13 pitch prop. Thats gps speed. Great Boat. I also duck hunt and beach her on shore all the time.

I have a Rebel Tiller which is a model down from the 1650 Rebel. I needed a versital, tough, light boat. This is it for me. I power it with a 30 HP Suzuki 4 stroke and can hit 30 MPH. I pull my kids tubing and fish with the 3 of them comfortably. I've had it on Lake Michigan and The Mississippi to taking the motor off and rowing it on my neighborhood lake with 10' skiff oars.

I have a 1500 lb. Shorelander roller trailer under it which works great. No nightmares here. Driving onto a bunk is easier but once your used to it, driving on a roller is just as easy.

I also can vouch for the 1650 Rebel-V tiller. I own a 2001 with 40 yamaha 4 stroke. I have downsized also,,from a Lund Renegade with a 90hp. I am very impressed with this rig. Very strong boat, will handle some rough stuff if you end up there. Does a great job. I dont mean to suggest that you dont need to be more selective on the conditions you go out in ,compared to your bigger rig,, but this rig can take a pounding. As for the trailer, take Luredaddy's advice, dont skimp, especially if you are going to travel long distances on vacations etc. ,, go with 13 inch wheels so you can get a radial tire. Avoid the little 12 inch bias ply tires. Traveling 12hrs at a crack at highway speeds on hot summer days with pavement temperatures that can fry a walleye can get you in trouble. This rig may not look like it,but its a pretty good load.
