Most of your large chain discount stores that have eye centers (walmart, shopko)would have these, along with stores such as Kindy Optical. Of course, you need to special order the lenses.

Most flyfishing magazines have ads for prescription polarized sunglasses. Even Cabela's Fly Fishing Catalog has them. The best-known brand is likely Action Optics. I have Hobies; they even offer graduated bifocals.

I got mine at Wal-Mart. I did some shopping around and WM had the best price, but not by much. This is my second pair and I would never be without them. Be prepared, lenses are around $200. Add more for bi-focals. Then add frames. But, well worth the cost as they add enjoyment to the overall fishing and any other outdoor experience.

I don't know what Wal-Mart he went to? $200.00 for lenses? My Wally World glasses were only $89.00 w/polarized coating.
The nice thing about Wal-Mart is that if you scratch the lenses within 2 months they(usually) will replace the lenses for FREE!
Give 'em a try.

try lenscrafters. they have a pair of sobe prescription glasses tat are different. its a regular pair of lenses behind a pair of wraparound polarized lenses. the neat part s the sunglass lenses are on a track that allows you to slide them around to the sides and just have regular lenses thus eliminating the need for two pair of glasses. They also come with an extra set of mirrored lenses.

I got mine at Vision-Pro for about $65.00 . They had an offer going with free presc. sunglasses with a pair of regulars, so add $55.00 for polarizing(?) and $10.00 for better frames than the offer and there you go!
good luck

Just ordered a set from my optomrist, Varalux? lens $392.00. Getting old cost!
Don't know if they're sold here, but I got a pair of Polarized sunglasses in Australia called "FitOvers" -- that's the brand name, and they are a sort of wrap-around thing that "fit over" your regular glasses. Very nice, because they also cover your side-vision so you don't get 'blinded' by glare/sun from the sides. Cost about $25.00 in Austrailian money -- probably not much more in US$, even with duty/shipping.

I saw glasses like these advertised on Tony Dean's show last weekend. There were 2 styles. One was fixed and the other was a flip-up. Maybe you can find information on them on his web site.

Pearle vision has them too. I've been getting them for years. This year will be the first jump to bifocals or progressive lenses for me, though. Getting older...fortunately. John.
Most eye doctors have an optical dept that will sell you the glasses you need.
Ask them to check their supplies catalog. The frame brand name is "DUCAL'. These frames have side shields that allow you to look to the side but they are colored like your main lens. The optical dept will fit in the prescription ploarized lens you want. When your prescription changes you can reuse the frames for your new prescription lens if you want.
I have been using these for over ten years and I am on my third prescription. The side lens can bleach out over a long period (years) but I believe you can restore the side shield tint by simply applying a small piece of windshield tinting material to them.
