The running boards on my pickup have become pitted from a chemical that was put on streets to melt snow and ice. The chemical was calcium cloride (i think). How can I clean up my running boards?? I have tried dozens of cleaners with no luck.

It could have been magnesium cloride. I don't know much about this kind of stuff.

No stainless steel is completely resistant to chlorides. You can't clean pitting away. It's a hole in the finish, either replace the corroded parts or live with them. Consider it part of the price of living in the north country.
Next winter, spend more money cleaning the underside of your vehicle at the car wash than you do cleaning the parts that show. When did you last see a car or truck that rusted out from the top down?

Never-Dull, it's a product that you'll find at the auto parts stores, works wonders!
