I'll be nice! Great boat! I would buy another one if I were buying one today. There is this guy out there who has some issues with the transom, but only if you put a jackplate on with a V6. He may be full of crap or he my not. If you don't put a jackplate on you are just fine. I would suggest going to the full HP rating. I get about 52MPH (gps) with mine. I have a 150 Yamaha V-Max with a custom Trophy. The only problem I had was a bad radio (twice) they repaired it ASAP. You will love this boat in the rough stuff. It is a real dry boat. I was looking at the Skeeter 1775 but the Yar-Craft won out because it had a small rear casting deck.(I Bass fish) I did not care for the vynil drap that covered the back transom area on the Skeeter. Too 1970ish I think. Oh yea, I also had to add another layer of foam under all the dry storage lids and live/baitwell lids. One call to Yar-Craft and they sent me a big box of foam to do the job.( I didn't want the dealer to do it, I wanted to do it. They had no problem sending it to me. Over all I am very happy with the boat. Except I would just love to put a jackplate on this boat. But maybe on my next Yar-Craft!

I'm running the Wrangler SC. So I'm don't know exactly how the interior is laid out on the DC. I like the small bait wells on the gunnels on the DC model. The hull is the same. I'm running a Merc xr-6 150hp motor and get 52mph (GPS Speed) with a 21 pitch Merc Vengance prop. The boat can handle anything you throw at it. It runs hi and dry and lands soft when you catch air!
Heh heh...Tom, you're killin' me! ;)
(I sent this over from the General Discussion board 'cause I knew you might be able to offer some input.)
Later,
Bert

Bert, Are you nuts! I have to wait for my battle wounds to heal. I still have a sprained finger from when it slip off the keyboard. My fingerprints are just starting to come back from all the wear from the keyboard CAP KEY botton. Not to mention the phychological stress from the personal slams I recieved. The treatment has been daily backrubs from the wife, she feeds me grapes in bed, as she reads me Steve, FJH1, and Dave in Mpls posts over and over. I tried to tell her waxing and vacuming the boat monthly would really help my psychological state of wellbeing, but she said the backrubs and grapes are enough :D

Bad Finger brings up a good point, I too just love those gunnel livewell and baitwells. That is what first caught my eye about the boat. Plus the bow cooler and baitwell are incorporated into the design of the boat. Warrior and Skeeters front baitwells didn't "flow" into the design, like the Wrangler Plus like I said on another post, the Wrangler has one of the best "designed" windshields I have seen. They have a "Euro" look to them. I think Stingray Boats use the same windshield too. What other boats are you looking at??? Let us know who won your money in the end.
