S.O.S.penders and Lazy Ikes

I have 2 questions for anyone to answer:
Anyone have any experience with the S.O.S.penders, auto inflating? Comfy, bouyant, etc.? Are there other brands worth considering?
2)Lazy Ikes, yellow, red, still taking 'eyes in the north? Met someone who swears they'll outfish all other baits including live. Are they hard to find?

2)Yes. Watching a buddy severely outfish me was enough to convince me that they have a place in my box.His old Ike caught the biggest one I saw all last year too.

The only thing I don't like about the bait is the fact that it is only little screws in a hollow plastic body that hold the trebles. The first one I bought lasted 4 min. before the back treble pulled out.I'll try not to let that one bad experience cloud my judgement too much though.

Don't use the Ike, but do use Worden's Flatfish. They're the same type of lure. Cabelas has both. The flatfish catches fish for me. They have a huge side to side wobble. It's for a slow retrieve. Maybe I'll try a Lazy Ike to see if there's a difference. I like the pearl color.

LAST EDITED ON Apr-21-00 AT 10:44AM (CST)[p] I have a set of the SOS Spenders I bought last spring, they are much cooler that a full jacket. I have the auto inflator type. I try to use them when I am alone in the boat and not moving. Have not tried drowning to see if they really work ;~)A small investment, less than 24 crank baits may save your life.

Here ya go Griffy- This post is back at the top for all to see again just like you asked! Maybe you can get a few more responses. I can't wait for you to get the S.O.S's in the mail, we'll take my boat out and see if they work after I tell ya to "SIT DOWN"!
