Has anyone been out to the eastern basin of lake ontario, thousand islands region lately? I am planning on a trip up there soon and was wondering if the eye bite is on in the Black River Bay area. Thanks.

I WAS AT THE BLACK RIVER BAY on opening day . it was windy and cold and we got one walleyes that was 25inches , about 41/2 to 5lbs. and 2 northerns.not many people were doing very good ,we hear them on the radio and some of the charters were very slow too.it seems early for them to move out into the lake but some of the captains thought that is what was going on. sorry i dont have any more to tell you , other than the opener was slow for everybody

Thanks, looks like a change of plans for me. Memorial weekend looks like I will be spending at my camp on Silver Lake. However, I will be going up to 1000 Isles the following weekend. I will make it out to Eastern Basin at least once then. I will let you know how I make out. Thanks again.
