Looking for dive curve info on both the size 7 & 9 Rapala Tail Dancer crank baits. Using 10 lb mono how much line is needed to achieve a running depth of 8'? How much line for 14'?
Our opener is just 16 1/2 hours away. It's been a looong winter.
Thanks for your help every one. Hope all have a safe & succesful fishing season!!

Additionally, has anyone been catching fish with them? Are they anyone's go-to sure-thing lure. I've resisted the marketing barage so far and am curious to hear how they are working. One excellent troller in our area is disappointed so far. Maybe more of a late spring/summer/early fall bait? Thanks to all who reply.

Have not heard much about them other than the fact that everyone has them in the tackle box. Used mine for the first time while doing some night fishing from shore last night. First cast I caught a 21 inch waldo and some more nice fish for next half hour until going home. Sorry, can't help you on the trolling part yet.

Fished with em on the Minnesota opener-- trolled with them in 12 feet of water-- as far as how far down, I would guess with 100 feet of 10lb test out I was ticking the rocks at about 10 feet. I caught 4 fish weighing in from 3-6 lbs. I had pretty good success with it. It appears that its shape and action mimick a wally diver. Seems like about the same running depth also. Hope this helps

I (my daughter) caught a 27" spawned-out famale last week on a Taildancer. We caught more fish on Frenzy's, but the big one fell to the Taildancer.
