I am doing research and looking to buy one of the boats metioned in the subject line. I've gotten lots of info. on these two boats but I want to reach out and hear more from others regarding Triton and Ranger. I am looking for diferences in quality, performance, company stability, satisfaction and any other coments and opions.
Thanks in advance for your responses!!

It's your check, which one would you buy? I'm not trying to be a SA here, but why would you base your decision on someone else's opinion(s)? Invest your time and you'll make a solid choice. Make sure you thoroughly test drive both on the type of water and under the conditions you will typically fish, and you won't go wrong with your decision.

One thing I think you can rule out is company stability. As far as the rest goes, you really need to get inside these two boats and move around. I think you will find they differ quite a bit. What a good layout is for one may not be for another. Like the man said it's your money buy the one you want, both are incredible boats and quality and company don't enter into the equation on this one. Comfort and layout do and thats up to you.

Dennis,
Couldn't agree with Hogger more. Why base your decision, especially when you're spending that much money, on someone elses opinions? You are really comparing apples to apples with these 2 boats. No difference at all in the above mentioned topics you chose. What it comes down to is personal preference and what boat is right for you. I, myself, have owned a 205 since 1999 and prefer it over the Ranger because it suits me better. Someone else is going to say the same about the Ranger. Get out and drive both -you can't go wrong with either boat.

yup - having the 620 and loving it i doubt i will switch on my next boat, and am sure the 205 owners will say the same thing. i looked at both and both are top of the line IMHO. you cannot go wrong with either, but do your homework and make your own decision - it is an easy one knowing you cannot go wrong in this case i feel. best of luck and enjoy.

Both are nice boats. The advice above is excellent. Get a test ride and test fish it. One will suit you better. One thing I don't totally agree with though..comparing the companies. Not saying there is anything wrong with the Triton Org., but to compare it to a 25-30 year old success story is .....I don't know what the word is. It isn't apples to apples to me, but then again, it's your money. They are both awesome boats.

Al,
you are correct in terms that Ranger has been around a lot longer. Actually ranger has been around for about 50 years. Early 1950's I belive. But, Triton has been around for longer than most on this board realize. They have been making bass boats for longer than walleye boats so walleye fisherman are not were not aware of their presence. But you do make a valid point in regards to history. But like I said both are in extremely great financial condition I'm sure. And I am told that there Earl Bentz is a super person and a true sportsman. And they do build one heck of a nice looking boat. I would love to fish in one someday.
I'm real happy with my Triton, but I'm sure I'd be real happy with my Ranger too, if I had one. It's nice to get some first hand info about the two boats from people on the board, but really, the only research that's going to matter is you getting in both boats on flat water and nasty stuff. One will have the edge over the other for YOU. They may ride differently because the Triton fuel tank is center/aft and I think the Ranger is more forward. Thats alot of weight. Triton uses port and starboard live wells, Ranger is along the transom. Does it matter? It might to you. Not to confuse the issue, but I have been looking at both of these boats and the Skeeter 2050. I think I am going with the Skeeter. I fish big water and for me the Skeeter just looks like it will fit better.
Its great when your choices are all great boats.
