I see some grousing on the board about shaky Pinpoint repair. I am assuming that it is a rare occurance. Where would be the best place to send a Pinpoint product for repair? Don't they offer factory repair any longer? Thanks!

They now have 9 factory authorized service centers around the country. Where do you live? I'll find the closest one to you.

I too hope it is a rare occurence. back when pinpoint was just "pinpoint" no one could beat their Customer Service and repair. But with the recent buyouts, things have gotten more confusing. People on their end arent sure where to get what parts, they have no proof of warranty on their end, so you have to send your reciepts. Whereas the original pinpoint would give me an RA number right over the phone, had all my records on their screen and was very fast.

Eric
Just called for service on mine and was told the nearest authorized dealer is in St Louis Mo. Tri State Trolling Motor. Phone no 314-921-7292. Hope this helps, just going by what I was told from the merc fellas, which recently purchased Pinpoint and Motorguide.

I was hoping there would be one close enough to drive to. It costs about $100 to ship a motor and I feel there is no guarantee when I get it back that the interference will be gone. I went through sending a trolling motor back and forth 4 times with Minnkota. That is why I went with Motorguide. Should have stayed with Minnkota, they would ship me a box and a call tag, so after the first time it didn't cost me anymore. Oh well, guess I'll just put up with the interference.

I live in Montana and recently had to send both my 7520's in for some warranty work. The backlight on both units quit. Sent to Tri-State trolling motor, and had back in a month and a half, all covered under warranty.
i shipped a pinpoint for a friend using ups and cost less than $50, and that was with ins. im courious to know who you used to ship the motor.
