Has any one been to the Cabela's retail store in Dundee, Mi? I have heard that they have one of the best selection of Ranger Boats in the country, is this true? I didn't even know they sold boats

Scoty,
Cabela's in Dundee does have a nice selection of Rangers. Fact is I think they hava a mini boat show going on right now for the next couple weeks. They have something like 30-40 boats on display including a bunch of Alumacraft boats. There prices seem very competitive as well. I have talke to two different guys named "Tom" and both were very helpful. They also both made an effort to assure me that "the customer comes first" even with their boats. They said "if your not happy, we'll make you happy".
You may wnt to call first to confirm how long their boat show is going on, but last I knew it was happening now. Good luck!

Cabela's has been in the "Boat Business" for quite a few years now, they have sold Lowe and Starcraft, and now are selling Alumacraft and Ranger. They are great to work with, I bought a boat from them a few years back with no regrets. They have a few Rangers at the Sidney location, and I am sure many more at their other locations in the East, but they also have a special order program for the Rangers if you dont find what you want in stock. I think it is a great company to buy a boat from, especially a Ranger ($$), they have a satisfaction guarantee and you know they are not going out of Business anytime soon, so they will be around to take care of you.

Yeah, but don't let 'em touch any motor over a 9.9. I have a couple of fishing pardners who'll never go to them for service on a weedwacker. Just relaying their experiences...not bashin Cabela's. I spend too much there to do that.:)
Scoty,
I just bought a 2002 Alumacraft and Eagle trailer from the Dundee store. I had no problems and received a lot of good advice during the process. The boat was rigged very well. When I left the store with my new boat I was a very happy camper. I haven't taken the boat back there yet for any service so I can't comment on that.
