Went back through the archives and found a post of mine from a while back about progressive pitch. I have now accomplished the idea of confusing myself:
As I look at my props (all 4 of them that I have), I observe that pitch seems steepest at the hub, and flattens out as the blade goes back along the hub and also out toward the tip. So...what seems confusing to me is that if a prop is progressive in pitch, shouldn't pitch be lower at the hub and go higher as it goes out toward the tips and not flatten out? To me, that would fit the definition of progressive (lower pitch to higher pitch) I will admit that I may not be looking at the correct line on the prop...just looking at it from a horizontal view with no measurements. Am I off on this idea?
Thanks
Steve
