I did it, after looking at several boats I purchased a Crestliner Sport/Fish today from a dealer I have know for 30 years. Upgraded from a fishhawk. Cannot wait to get this one on the water.

man......you're gonna love it! Congrats! It's a good compromise boat to do a little of everything you want to do on the water. Keeps momma and the kids happy! Good luck!

Congrats Crawlerman!
I'm hoping that I'm able to purchase the same boat this spring or yet this winter if I find the right deal.
I've got a family that requires a multipurpose boat, however I want to start tourney fishing more often....
Let us know how it works out for ya.

Congrats are in order!
I bought a S/F at a boat show last fall. It was a new 2000 leftover. Got it for a great price, for what it came with. It has the 4.3 L with the Merc 15 hp 4 stroke bigfoot kicker with elec start and tilt. If you have a 2000 catalog, its the 1850 I/O. Its a photo boat, which means it was the actual boat in the pic. Have had it out only a handful of times, its very solid, I could tell that as soon as I took it for a spin.
It is a compromise to be sure, but over the winter I rigged it just the way I want it, and can also use it at the cottage for the family skiing. The only complaint besides the stupid placement of the bow seat (intefering with the walk through windshield) is the lack of rod lockers. I see they made an attempt at more locking storage in the new models, not sure I really like that, but my wife did when we saw one at a show the other day) But in my case. The lockable engine compartment is huge and I can store my rods in there.
Im sure you will be happy with your choice.

Yes, I am very happy. I equiped the boat with the max of 175 HP. Should work out real well. Boat should allow me to troll more in the near shore of Lake Erie and make by Canadian runs for great smallmouth and perch. The wife can relax and I can fish more. The room in this boat is awesome. Love the deep splashwell and the wrap around windshield. Cannot wait to get it. Deep and safe, should ride well as you have mentioned also. Thanks for responding.
