New Trolling Motor question, Which One?

I am going to purchase a new trolling motor. I fish the Detroit River and I wanted to know the difference between the Min kota Maxium and Power Drive is. What are the advantages or disadvantages of each? What would be better suited for the river.

in current or wind, when vertically fishing, as you most likely will do in the mo town river, the maxxum is best because of the quick response it offers and you need. conditions like that is a classic example of how the slower reaction of the pd motor fails.
