I am searching around for a used 619 and really want a walk-thru version. Most of what is out there are dual plexi versions and I am wondering if they can be converted? The consoles look the same to me but I am not sure. Also, any idea on costs for the new walk thru?

Yes they can be converted with a little glass work necesary. The cost of the windsheild is around $600 plus installation.

Thanks Bill. Can you elaborate a bit on the glass work required? Do you mean the windshield glass or fiberglass? Any idea on cost of installation by a dealer, or is it something that could be done myself?

Howdy Jigtugger,

The glass work mentioned, would have to be on the consoles to repair the holes from the dual plexi windscreen.

I converted my full glass on my old 692 to the dual windscreens and had some of the holes repaired. The ones the new windscreens covered I dabbed silicone in the hole and then inseted a flush mount screw of the appropriate size, then topped off hole with more silicone.

I suggest you call your local Ranger dealer. They will be extremely helpful in getting the task accomplished should you decide to pay them to install it.

Have fun............R

The glass work is required on the console. Sorry I can't give you a cost my Ranger Dealer is changing one over for me on my new boat at no cost for labor. I agree that I would contact my Ranger Dealer and get a cost from them. Good Luck
