I have several of both in 6' med. and med./lt. I use for jigging rods and I am pleased with both. Also they are very good to work with replacing rods you are not happy with. Good fishing.

i have a fenwick techna and i love it. but these rods cost 250+. i copared my cabelas IM7 tourney trail to my techna and there was very little difference. my next rods from now on are going to be Cabelas Tourney trail IM7. for 59.99, nothing comes even close to having that kind of sensitivity, not to mention the lightness. it is almost lighter than my techna. i don't know who makes these but i do know that they are very reliable.
Made in China they are!

The XML's are a sweet rod, but for $10 more you can have a St. Croix. They both are good rods.

I have a XML I used to use for live bait rigging and it was a very good rod. My wife now uses it and I use a Fiber-Max from Fig Rig, an even better rod. Don't know if this is true but at the time I bought the XML the discriptions of the XML blank and the G-loomis blanks were suspisiously similar so I called Cabela's and asked who made the blanks for the XML series and was told they were G-Loomis blanks. True? You tell me, that's just what the representitive told me directly and thats's all I had to go on. Are the rods good? Mine is...Good luck...SkeeterBoy
