I am interested in the Panther remote steering for kicker motors and was wondering if anyone has pros or cons of this remote. How responsive is it and is the remote cable attached or cable free. Thanks in advance, bulletny

It is a remote system with a cable. It will turn your kicker fully from one side to another in about 4 seconds. I put one on my boat last year and have absolutely no regrets.

Do you have a kicker lift bracket too? Are you able to lift the motor and tilt the motor without disconecting the steering rod? Also, Where did you mount the unit on your boat? Thanx, Larry Butler

Put one on my Merc 15 4stroke with T & T last year, never has to be disconnected. It is waterproof and very responsive. No more turning the weight of big motor through a tie-rod. Best $260 investment I've made in boat. Remote is great, can pass control off to partner so I can land a fish, bait up, etc.

O.K. so it does work with tilt & trim but where do you mount the steering box? Thanx in advance L.B.
