I was just wondering the same thing myself Keith. I hope someone knows the results. Good luck to all the anglers over there today!

Just generalities: there was a 40# catch, but just 1. Lots of catches over 20 pounds. Hopefully someone has some details. Sorry.

Thats ok, they probably didn't recognize the question as it's "Bolles Harbor", obviously I typed the original post BC (before coffee)!LOL Thanks, one of my partners was on to some good fish, but didn't get a chance to call him last night after weigh in. It sure bothered me all day that I wasn't there with them! Good Luck all.

I don't know the official results but.
Harriger/Gouge won with 71-72 lbs.
Ford/Douglas in 2nd.

It's hairly tight after that for about 20 spots.

We pulled 18.81 Sat and 19.78 Sun for 38.59 lb total and were around 40th place estimated.

The results should be up soon I would think.

WOW! What a Piggy! Way to go Lance, hope you have many more that size grace the presence of your new Skeeter. Hope you took some pics! Congrats to the winners, fine fisherman they are. Team of the year last year if I recall correctly! See all of you in Saginaw Bay!

I couldn't even get back to the trailer after the second flight due to the cluster at the docks. By the time I got back on the trailer, the weigh in had completed. My wife tells me I finished about 18th with 44 pounds or so. Congrats to team #1 who literally ran back with a shattered hull - had to be a terrifying experience. Me thinks the MWT folks need to start thinking about some boundaries for these things. This one could have been a real tragedy. A precedent is developing - going back into last season even - that the winners are the guys who ran the longest distance.

We took our fish north of West Sister. Hot combo was Deep Little Rippers back 150 on one side, and Reef Runners back 100-120 on the other.

I agree.

I'd like to see some boundries on these Tournaments.
I personally think a "Only Michigan Water" Rule should be in effect at Tournaments like Eire and Detroit. But if not that, some form of boundry such as the Bannana Dyke across to Canada at Detroit, or at Monroe West Sister to Middle Sister and that line to Ohio and Canada. Something though, becuase it is not just the fishermans responsability. It is mainly but as a Tournament some form of boundry should be in tact. Such as with the two Saginaw Bay Tournaments this year.

I fished Green Island, which is a 29 mile run, and would have sacraficed not going to those fish if a boundry was in effect. Others would too, takes a bit of pressure off that gnawing itch to make the big run for the big fish.

Additionally a boundary would level the playing field. Going back to last year, the first I fished the MWT, all but the Houghton Lake event were won by the guys who took chances and simply ran the farthest to find big fish. Don't get me wrong, they played by the rules, and won fair and square. However, it's just a matter of time before someone with a less-equipped boat decides to take the same chance and pays for it. I hope this near miss serves as a wake-up call.
