My antenna borke ( 8ft. ),its been a wile since I have bought one and I dont know wich one to get a 3 or 6 dp.can anyone help.I fish on Lake Erie.
The higher the db gain the better it will work. you need all you can get on erie. good luck and good fishin.

Get the Shakespear 5225. It has a .125 copper wire all the way to the top. Lots of 8' ant. only have about 3' of wire and that is what sends and recieves the signal. This is a heavy duty unit and sells for about $125. The radio is only as good as the antenna.

I agree wholeheartedly with Chairman, the antenna is the most important part of the system. Being as you are traveling on Lake Erie transmission range should be very important to you.
