Five friends and I are going to spend a week fishing Lake Sakakawea out of Indian Hills, beginning June 10. We have our place to stay and guides. However, we would like to know some good restaurants in the area. Any information will be appreciated. JackSalmon.

Make sure you hit the Scenic restaurant. located about 6 miles east of New Town. about 20-30 minutes nw of Indian Hills. It's on Highway 23. Straight north of the Van Hook arm community. You can't miss it. Best steaks for the money and ask Clayton the owner anything about fishing Sakakawea and he'll help you out. Clayton is a legend in our parts.
Have a great time and welcome.

If you desire a boat ride, there's a new steak house near Dakota Waters. I think it's about 25 miles one way.

Garrison ND has 3 eating places that are good. 1. Stoney End for Steaks 2. The Cenex restaurant will give you enough food to fill you up after a day on the water. 3. Four Seasons restaurant is good as well. You will have about a 20 - 30 minute drive to get back to Garrison. Scenic 23 is good as well like the previous post. Holton's do some cooking as well for breakfast. Nice people. Have fun. Don't catch them all.
