Mark..
The walleyes are starting to gang up near Henderson Harbor but the Black River is still slow at best.
Some nice fish are being caught by shore fishermen in Oswego on the west wall. Just have to weed through the sheephead, rock bass and smallmouths !!
I you're not fishing Oneida lake right now, you're missing the boat.
The North shore is hot and the walleyes are in 2 to 10 feet of water in front of Bernhards Bay, Cleveland, and Taft Bay.
As much as the DEC says the population of adult fish is down, I'm seeing a lot of 3 to 5 lb fish and several in the 5 to 9 lb range.
Where they came from in such a short period is a mystery but the time is now !!

Did anyone make it out over Memorial weekend to either Henderson Harbour or Eastern Basin of Lake Ontario? I will be heading up Friday afternoon and staying in Clayton. I would like to get out maybe a day or 2. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I also thought I heard some reports of walleyes hitting around Wolfe or Carleton Islands but this is unconfirmed.
