I was going to put a rubber duck antenna on my console next to the VFH antenna(about 5-6" away). Has anyone heard if this will be a problem? Please let me know before I drill into fiberglass. Thanks

I am also in the process of rigging my new 20' alaskan with radios. The latest bass pro catalog had an in line adapter that allows you to use your vhf antenna for am and fm reception. This was adverised in the electronics section. This is the route that I will be taking. The adapter is about 35.00$ and you won't have to drill more holes for a second antenna.

I was thinking of using a band seperator also and was wondering if anyone had tried one and how well they work.
