I read all of your posts concerning the LCX 15 and the problems that many of you were having. You guys had me scared to death, because I had already ordered mine BEFORE I read your posts. Well I don't know if I'm just lucky or what, but I installed it and took my my first trip with it to Erie, worked perfect. I hope it works that way today again.Hope the rest of you have gotten your problems solved with this unit.

Reddog me too,I'm on my third one!!!! I replaced the transducer and the gps receiver once. The problem I was having was the screen look like there was nothing but clutter(snow) on it.
I'm still having to reset mine once in a while because it will not lock in on the bottom if I'm real shallow. I don't know why it doesn't seem to come out of it but it will sit there and flash some flaky number. A quick reset always fixes it. Other than that I love it. Each time I use it I seem to learn a new setting I like.

Zeke, That is what mine was doing, only it kept getting shorter and shorter time frames between losing depths, and then the resets began not working. I called them, and they said there was a noise filter or something like that that needed to be installed into the hardware. I sent it in last Thursday, and recieved it this Wednesday, so I was real happy about the turn-around time. I have not had it on the water yet, but will this evening. I agree with everyone that they are awesome when they work, but it is a real pain when your primary system is not working properly, or goes down completely. It is a major distraction to keep resetting during fishing time, especially since I really havent had too much time to really learn all there is to know about the unit and what its real capabilities are. I have had to concentrate more on keeping it running, rather than learning how to use all the settings.
