Swamp Donkeys + Black Flies =

Hi,

Just letting anyone planning on coming up to N.W. Ontario please be careful. The blackflies are starting to get bad and therefore drive moose out of the bush and onto the roads and HWYS. This gets bad around dusk so keep your eyes peeled.

If you do see one on the road all you have to do is slow down and wait till it moves off. If it is in the ditch don't honk at it, just drive slowly by.

thank you for the warning,..BTW..anyone have a remedy for black flies?(generally I hide under a nethat w/ long sleeves ect.)I don't like DEET products and really don't think it helps w/black flies anyway,....I've heard that Oil of bergamont helps,...never have tried it.

The flies are bad this year. Bigger and badder than last year.

what about those little no see ums, they must be all teeth as they bite like heck. Nothing seems to keep them away.
