Missing Something When You Got Home?

A very large tackle box flew out of someone's boat during the storm. Call Greg Peterson at Ortonville ((320) 839-2323). If you can describe it in detail, it's yours.

LAST EDITED ON May-24-01 AT 11:04AM (CST)[p]A lesser person would have kept it. You're a good person, it's nice to know that people like you are out there. Have a good holiday weekend!

Well it's really big and has everything but the kitchen sink in it, including many of my favorite discontinued cranks that I can't get anymore-- especially purple prism Thunderstick AJ's and gold/black Shadraps. How am I doing so far? Just kidding, but seriously you are a beacon of good old fashioned honesty, and I sure do hope you find the guy who lost it. You got me thinking about how some of my crankbait boxes that took years to accumulate would take $500 to replace now. I am going to go put my name and phone number on the inside of the cover on my boxes tonight with a Sharpie Marker. You never know when you could simply leave a box somewhere when loading/unloading in the dark. With honest guys like you it's nice to know a lost treasure can be returned. We could all make it easier--put your names on your boxes. Good luck.

Thanks for all the kind words, but I'm just the messenger.

Fact is, an angler fishing the tournament somehow saw it in the middle of the storm, retrived it and turned it in at the weigh in. Additionally, he called yesterday to see if anyone had claimed it.

And I would agree, he is an exceptional fellow.
