Keith when I got mine they had the instuctions in the box, but obviously that wasn't the case for you.
I would try calling them at 800-588-7655 ask for Robert or Erik
they have been helpfull for me every time i've called.
Good Luck :-)

Keith,
I don't know where you live, I live in Appleton, WI, but I have a TR-1 mounted on a 15 hp Merc with a panther lift on my Yarcraft. You could take a look at it if you are nearby or if you have any questions drop me an e-mail. I did mine a year ago and basicly just followed the manual and watched the video a couple of times. I took the motor in the basement on afternoon and just started doing it step by step. Wasn't too difficult, just takes some patience and if I can do it, anybody can. You can email me at desorcy@yahoo.com

howdy keith, the average installation time is 4 hrs for a guy who knows what he's doing (for a nice job). every installation veries depending on what motor/year/boat/etc. seems like everyone needs some brackets cut/modified for the eng throttle application. before you mount the gyro, decide if you can mount the mount on a side/back wall. if not you will have to run the wires thru (before you run the wires for hook-up)the mount and trim it's base for clearance for the wires to run under the mount. use locktite on the cyl bracket bolts (that bracket might have to be trimmed also). other than that, take your time, don't final mount the hyd/elec unit till you have it bled..leave plenty of exccess wire/hose so you can pull it out when nessary.
hope that helps

First off you are going to love your TR-1. You will be spoiled for the rest of your life.

A couple of quick tips come to mind . . .

1) Make sure that you install the Electro Hydraulic unit where you can easily access the fill ports for the hydraulic fluid. You fill the unit with a syringe (they provide it) so you need to take into account the length of the syringe for clearance purposes.

2) When you attach the hydraulic lines to he Electro Hydraulic unit as well as the trolling motor piston, make sure that they are inside the fitting by at least 5/8 of an icnh. You will feel some resistance prior to having them in 5/8 of an inch but don't let that fool you.

3) Make sure that you secure the hydraulic lines near where they attach the Electro Hydraulic unit and the piston in such a way that they cannot rock back and forth. This is particularly important with respect to the piston because as the motor pivots they will have a tendancy to rock. If you don't secure them properly they can work their way back out of the fittings. Hopefully that makes sense.

Other than that, take your time and think things thru. It's not a hard job!
