Sorry
I have a 150 xr6. I am currently running about 5400 wot with a 19" aluminum prop. I don't run a very heavy load. I don't run a jackplate and I have been told that the motor needs to come up one hole.
Thanks

I have a 2001 Crestliner CVX 182 with a 150 Mercury Optimax
and I have it proped with a 19 pitch stainless balstic prop
the boat runs great! Excellent hole shot and top end speed depending on load is around 53-54 mph.
BY the way my boat is for sale and will sell cheap and need to unload asap! it's listed on the walleye central classifieds.

It sound like the motor is on the bottom hole so I would raise it up one. Make sure the cavitation plate is level with the bottom of the boat for starters. That boat weights about 1300lbs so I would still stay with the 19p if the motor is on the bottom hole providing you raise it up. I would demo a 19p Lazer ot a 19p Tempest in a three blade. In a four blade Trophy which seem to ba a popular prop. The stainless prop will give you more bit and lift and you will feel it right away over that aluminum prop. The Tempest will have the most lift but the Lazer might get your rpm near 5600 because it is a smaller diameter. 5600 is on the max side of your rpm limit, which I like for better fuel economy. Any question post back

The motor is in the second hole. I have been told that it is mounted too low.
Thanks
