Glass boat cleaner

I have alot of black marks on the sides of my fiberglass boat from the net and docks, and was wondering what everyone recommended. There's alot of cleaners on the market, but I'm afraid they will scratch the gel coat. Has anyone tried Simple Green and does it work?

Here is some tips I got from REW when I owned a glass boat.

The yellowing type of crud comes off easily with Iron Out.

Use Whitewall tire cleaner, I think Bleech White or something like that to get the black marks off.

Simple green really didn't do to much for anything on my boat, but does work well on grease and such in the splashwell.

Then use a coat of good wax and it should shine up nice.
