The RCL tournament at Saginaw Bay needs some Co-anglers. The bite is good and the payout is pretty impressive. We need to support this circuit They are putting a lot of effort and money into getting it started and they are aware that the late start hurt them. I would appreciate it if you would sign up and come over to the bay. E-mail me or call Sonny Reynolds.
Thanks,

LAST EDITED ON May-25-01 AT 07:41PM (CST)[p]What are the dates ? obviously I'm a non tournament angler..

years ago when they first started fishing our home water we did have a couple decent finishes; hav'nt found time to fish tourneys since then.

where is the marina ? might be a little problem for some of the folks with big lake boats.

Thanks,

lobo

Won't be able to make this one but did have another question. What is the role of co-angler ? Is this sort of a Pro-Am type situation ?

Thanks,

Steve

Bringin' it to the top!

Any people that have been thinking about fishing a tournament in the past but weren't sure of how to start this is a tremendous learning experience as well as competitive environment. For those that want to get a little more out of it the paybacks are not too bad either!

Sonny, would love to fish as an amateur, but unfortunatly I am handicapped because I am not an original owner of a RCL boat. If the rules change let me know.

Fisherman,

You do not need to be an original owner of an RCL boat to fish as a co-angler. There aren't any boat owner restrictions in the co-angler classification. Check out www.operationwalleye.com for more information.

Fisherman, it is NOT a requirement to be an owner of a RCL boat to fish as a co-angler. So feel free to sign up for this tournament. This is a great boby of water to fish, with alot fo big fish avalible. Keep us posted on what learned and how you finished.

Fisherman,

Co-anglers do not need to be an owner this year. Co-angler side is open to the general public. Also, Pro's do not need to be the original owners this year, although if they are they could qualify for bonus money in the championship.

Thanks for the info. I did not realize that the RCL was open to anglers not owning a Ranger,Crestliner or a Lund boat. Would love to fish Saginaw bay-never been there. I know it has a reputation for putting out some big weights and it would be worth every penny just to be able to pull in some of those bruisers that swim in the bay..Unfortunatly I have a tourney on the 15th of June and am committed there. Will try for a later one if everything works out.

The Wal-Mart RCL tournament series is first class as is Sonny Reynolds and his staff. I've known Sonny since he was a director with the Red Man bass tournaments which I fished. The RCL is an excellent tournament venue and no one will be disappointed fishing it, pro or co-angler alike.
