I am getting a new boat. Now I have to get a boat lift. Which is better and why, a vertical lift or a cantilever lift?

A personally boat a Shoremaster for my second lift at the cabin. I own a smaller Flow model and have had problems with the "craddle" twisting and getting stuck. I also don't like how the cables attached to the craddle. The hooks would slide out if you lowered the craddle down too far.

The vertical lift gives you more hight adjustment then a cantilever lift. If you have major water fluctuations vertical is the better choice. If the water movement is not a issue the cantilever is less money.
