Maybe we need a Walleye Central personals and dating message board. Here are some of the topics...

Men with boats looking for women.

Women with boats looking for men (this would be a short section).

Men without boats looking for women with boats.

Men without boats looking for women with deer rifles.

I think this could be a big hit.

My girlfriend loves to fish for perch, but she only likes to fish for walleye and she's a looker too. She needs no help, pulls the anchor, helps clean the boat, takes off her own fish, helps clean them, and is better at trolling on Erie than most of the guys I know. She gets a little shaky when the temps are in the 40's but then so do a lot of guys. She would be the perfect woman if she would just get over the perch thing!

"He he" :) My better half had her own fishing tackle when I met her. She cleans the fish and she even confiscated my filet knives for her use. It's my job to fry the filets on the camp stove in the garage. That way her kitchen doesn't get spattered with grease. I suggest you spend a lot of time in your local bait shop or sporting goods store checking out any chicks that come in. If no chicks do come in you can at least feed your addiction to crankbaits etc.

My daughter begs me to take her out fishing more than her brothers. She does her own baiting, fish removing, and loves to help cleaning fish. Don't get any ideas though. She's only 10 years old. Matter of fact.....don't get any ideas in 8 years either. :-)

There are a couple of negatives that come along with having a girlfriend that likes to fish:
1. She always wants to go so I rarely get a chance to go with the boys.
2. She caught the biggest Eye between the two of us last summer and now there are pictures of her holding it all over the house. Not to mention how many times I've had to listen to her tell our friends the *$%# story!

She's an unbelievable cook though. I guess I should be thankful.

Good fishing!

Eric

If it's a choice of fishing with my wife, or fishing with "the guys", I'll take my wife >EVERY< time! She's a great partner, in and out of the boat.

My wife loves to fish with me. The questions I get from her are outrageous at times. Like: " If a leech on you hook swims close enough to the fish, will it latch on so that you can reel it up???" Makes me smile and say, "Gosh I love you!"

I met my wife shooting archery at our local archery club when we were teenagers. Her Dad is a die hard hunter, so she understood the value of the "boys day out" and she also expects to share our own time out on the water together.

As some other guys here, I am sure a lucky man to have met my wife.

Scott...

PS, yes, she is hot too!

My fabulous spouse is my absolute BEST fishing partner. Perhaps some of my fellow anglers can relate to.....
1) Getting outfished (consistently!)by a woman who is reading her book and taking a nap. Point: for trolling, on live bait rigs or bottom bouncers she doesn't set the hook too quickly or change lures every five minutes....hmmmmmmmmm...
2) The fun of taking her out with a REAL guide now and then, having her catch the first, most and biggest fish....
3) The quiet conversations you can enjoy away from phones, pagers, personal computers, laptops, IPAQ's etc...how about a nice smooch at sunset? My goodness, we actually might communicate!
4) Going out with "the guys" now and then for some "serious fishing" - for me it's usually tournament practice with friends met on the tour - but honestly appreciating more the private time with my sweetie - fish or no fish.

My sweetie recently nailed a 33 inch chinook on Lake Superior; our seven-year-old got a 32" as well - it doesn't get any better than that.

P.S. Yes she is gorgeous in body and spirit, intelligent and fabulous to be with. There is a God.

Treat her like a lady, guys!

I've never fished with anyone of either gender that met more than half of these qualifications. Any woman or man that perfect would only read the personals for entertainment. :7

Jolleye,

My wife loves to fish, eat fish, she'll fish in all kinds of weather, backs a trailer very well, will bait her own hook, packs a great lunch for the boat, helps clean the boat when we get home and after almost 20 years with me and 2 kids she still looks dynamite. Before we met she fished occasionally for blue gills etc with a bobber. But now she loves to fish for walleyes, perch, northerns and even tried catfishing. She refuses to go back catfishing because she doesn't like softshell turtles or sitting on a river sandbar in the dark with all the noises and mosquitos. (a beaver slapping its tail on the water next to us didn't exactly impress her either). And get this, until our kids get older she lets me take my buddies to Canada each year while she stays home just as long as I promise to take the family to a Minnesota lake for at lest 1 week of swimming, skiing and relaxed fishing each summer. How can I lose?

Anyway, I'll bet plenty of hot walleye chicks have wondered if there are any buff walleye guys out there too. Face it, many fishermen look like the only weights they lift come in 12 oz cans. (myself included)

Old fishermen never die, they just smell that way.

We have a sign hanging in our cottage that reads, " An Old Fisherman Lives Here With The Best Catch Of His Life" how very, very, true. Good fishing to you all.

I've got the hot woman that meets the qualifications above. She can fish, bait her own hooks, tie them on, net fish, back up a trailer, looks good in her rain suit, sit in the boat for hours on end, comes in and helps me clean the boat out, makes sure we've got a lunch to take out with us, can backtroll my 125 tiller, can sit with me in the cold on Lake of the Woods for hours upon hours in the fall with 33 pieces of clothing on, understands why the kids need to practice casting their ice fishing rod & reels in the house during hte winter (you shoud see the 3 year old cast), and most of all understands why I need that new rod, reel, locator, graph, 5 crankbaits etc.

I love her dearly!!!

Thanks Carrie.......tim

Don't forget that they need to dig bait and buy beer...
