Never seen anything like that when I was over there either BGunn. Better take a few frags and claymores with ya. Maybe a Law rocket would help also. ha! Russell

LAST EDITED ON May-28-01 AT 02:26AM (CST)[p]I spent almost 2 years over there (May '68 to Mar '70) as a Loadmaster on C130's. Our "fishin lure" of choice weighed 10,000lb! We always practiced CPR though, as a matter of fact, here's a photo of our "presentation" just as it was going over the ramp of the plane:

Heck, the only thing I "Caught & Kept" was a a good dose of ringworm from a plane load of Water Buffalo that we carried when we were relocating a village.

hehehe eyeguy,BGunn. Nam vets all sound about the same. I was with 101st up in the I-Corp 69-70. Straight-leg infantry 11B. Saw a lot of weird stuff. Seen some ugly looking 4ft lizards in the Song Bo River. And the leaches hung off of everything that had blood running through its veins. No wonder those people were so puny looking. Those catfish probably glowed in the dark, so much Agent Orange flowing down those rivers. I wouldnt want to eat any. :) Those were the good ole days. ha! Russell

That is huge, I have heard stories that divers in the rivers have seen fish like this. It makes ya wonder if all the drownings that were never recovered were in fact a drowning incident. That fish is big enough to take a human. Scary
