I need some advice. I do alot of trolling & need help on this one. I'd like to get a couple high quality rods for drift fishing (swinging weight forwards & crawlers). I've never had a decent rod, only used my $15.00 Perch Jerkin' rods. My friend suggested Cabelas Fish Eagle's. There are 3 different models. What lenghts & actions? I'm leaning towards the XML (603 & 604) or Platinum ZX in a 6'with fast action. Are they all built with Loomis blanks? They look pretty good to me. Thanks in advance for any advice!

Steelie 7, Unless your going to cabelas, I find it hard to buy a quality drift rod from a picture.I personally use St. Croix avid series rods. These are a higher end rod (about $150-$160)without having to break the piggie bank.A versitle 6-6.6 ft. 1/4-3/4 in med.to med/heavy should do just fine for weight fowards and harnesses.Stout but sensitive is key to feeling an Eye suck the tail of your crawler on a swing.Hope this helps!Good Luck and Tight Lines!!
