Looking at new electronics for my new boat. Thought I had settled on the X15 but now have second thoughts and am considering the X15MT. What are your thoughts and experiences? Are there any good write-ups?

Lion,
I have the new LCX-15MT unit which replaced my Eagle Ultra Classic. I have not had any problems with it (but I do not have the GPS mapping pkg either). Incredible detail. Since I dont have the mapping pkg. I dont have the interface kit to run the updates. So I called Lowrance and they sent me a MMC card with update version 1.9 on it at n/c. They get a credit card # to secure that you will send it back to them, but I dont blame them. The update has the increased chart (ping) speed. I am very happy with it like I said but comparing it to the Eagle Ultra Classic is like nite & day. Just my thoughts. There are alot of nice sonars out there just look at them all and make a decision what is gonna best suit your needs.
