I was at the weigh in Thrusday, but couldn't make it Friday. Anybody hear what or where Sampson was fishing? He seemed to be able to pull a big one every day.
Who is he, I have never heard of him. but some ofmy buddies thought that he placed hight last time the PWT came to Mille Lacs. Has this guy been around or is he a newcomer?

Bruce Sampson has fished professional walleye tournaments since the inception of the original Manufacturers Walleye Council, now known as the Masters Walleye Circuit (MWC). Bruce and his partner Jerry Anderson, formerly of Isle, MN won a few tournaments and were MWC Team of the Year sometime in the late eighties. Bruce has also been a regular on the PWT since its inception. He has qualified for several PWT Championships and won a PWT Qualifying Event in 1999 at Devils Lake in North Dakota.
Bruce Sampson is a top notch angler and a GREAT person. Although Bruce did not say exactly were he was fishing, he did say that he fished with slip bobbers in the south part of the lake for the entire event.
Congratulations to Bruce on a well deserved win in some extremely nasty weather conditions!!!

Dr. Bruce Sampson is from Cambridge Minnesota. He has been around for a while, and has fished a number of tournaments at Mille Lacs. He is a very good bobber guy, which paid off very well for him last week. My information is he pretty much camped on Indian point and bobber fished with leeches the whole time. I don't know the depth, but I suspect the 10/20 foot range.
